Reporting Reels empowers aspiring journalists to launch their broadcast journalism careers by coaching, filming, and editing dynamic demo reels that spotlight their unique storytelling strengths and highlight their strongest on-air skills .
Reporting Reels matches aspiring reporters with a crew consisting of an Emmy-winning veteran reporter and experienced photojournalist who will provide elite, hands-on mentorship.
As coaches, they will share industry insights, guide you through story outlining, instruct you how to ask questions, gather interviews,
and help you understand news terms like "VOSOT", "Package", and "Look Live".
Our goal is to ensure you command a standout, professional on-camera presence.
Once everything is shot and tracked in the field, the footage is sent to a video editor to be assembled into a demo reel.
The entire process is meticulously managed for broadcast quality.
The demo reel takes up to two weeks to complete.
Shooting your professional demo reel takes place in a single day and on location, maximizing efficiency and on-screen impact.
